Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Economics, Business & Social Sciences (JEBSS).

The Editor-in-Chief provides intellectual and operational leadership for JEBSS. The role safeguards the journal’s editorial independence, ensures that manuscripts are handled by qualified and impartial editors, oversees ethics and post-publication cases, and approves the final composition of each issue.

Core responsibilities

• Set and periodically review the journal’s aims, scope, strategy and editorial policies.
• Appoint and support associate editors, section editors, advisory members and reviewers.
• Make or confirm final decisions using the evidence in the manuscript, reviewer reports and editorial assessment.
• Ensure that conflicts involving editors, board members or institutional colleagues are reassigned transparently.
• Oversee complaints, appeals, corrections, retractions and significant allegations of misconduct.
• Protect academic freedom while requiring evidence, civility, ethical research and accountable authorship.
